The Opportunity: AR Specialist

The AR Specialist is a skilled accounts receivable professional well versed in the art of billing, collecting and with the ability to provide white glove service for our clients. They will work well and thrive in a goal-oriented accounts receivable department, and have a good understanding of invoicing, revenue recognition, and overall accounting process.

The ideal candidate has experience in both accounts receivable and collections, preferably in the SaaS industry and with a large and diverse portfolio of receivables. They have excellent written and verbal communication skills as the position interfaces directly with our customers, our sales, client success, and other internal teams. What can you expect the role to look like:

• Enter sales orders to create contracts and related billing schedules.
• Process changes or cancellations to contracts and the related impact to billing schedules.
• As needed, make collection calls in a professional manner, while keeping and improving customer relations, document and maintain timely collection notes.
• Manage payment due notifications and follow up on delinquent accounts, take actions to encourage timely debt payments and establish a regular payment cadence.
• Demonstrate continuous improvement in AR Balances including past due accounts.
• Process payments and refunds, resolve billing and customer credit issues.
• Report on collection activity and accounts receivable status, with recommendations for write-offs and bad-debt allowances.
• Invoice for usage based billing and consolidated billing.
• Apply customer payments, and related AR responsibilities.
• Triage accounting tickets to assign to appropriate person.
• Sales tax compliance.
• Other duties as assigned.
