A Day in the Life of an Automation Assembly Technician at Marble:
As an Automation Assembly Technician, you will work with Marble’s mechanical and controls manufacturing team in our facility to assemble, test, and ship Marble’s advanced automation equipment to food processors across the country. A typical day at Marble would consist of tasks including:
Building conveyor structures, belts, and drive components
Installing pneumatic cylinders, distribution systems, and manifolds
Assembling camera and HMI enclosures
Assembling PLC and motor control panels
Installing machine wiring and performing terminations
Performing system testing
Assisting with system breakdown for shipping
Picking up materials from local vendors
Assisting with inventory management
What You Must Have:
Experience with machinery, tools, and mechanical/electrical assembly
Ability to reference schematics, assembly drawings, floorplans, work orders, and other documentation
Ability to diagnose and solve technical problems
Strong ability to work and communicate in a team
Ability to work independently and manage several projects simultaneously
Additional Experience We’d Like You to Have:
Familiarity with electrical and mechanical troubleshooting
Familiarity with control panel building
Familiarity with industrial maintenance
Experience with inventory processes
Machine shop, welding, or 3D printing experience
Experience in a food processing environment
Physical Requirements:
Possess a driver’s license, insurance, and a reliable vehicle
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds frequently throughout the day
Ability to easily maneuver around and under equipment
Must be comfortable operating in a food processing environment
Must be willing to travel approximately 10% of the time
Must be able to stand for prolonged periods
