OVERVIEW

Opendorse is proud to help every athlete monetize their Name, Image and Likeness (NIL). As we continue to lead the industry, we are excited for the NIL Engagement Manager to serve as a key member of our Partner Strategy Teameducating athletes and key stakeholders, engaging partners, and pursuing new connection points.

The NIL Engagement Manager will work closely with the Director of NIL Education and NIL Education Program Manager to play a critical role in developing and delivering data-driven educational programming to Opendorse’s partners – specifically at the Power 5, Group of 5, and NCAA Division I levels, as well as NIL collectives.

In this role, you will demonstrate a strong professional presence with everyone you encounter. You thrive in a softball clubhouse, football team room, coach’s office, athletic director’s conference room, or any on-campus or virtual environment. You can articulate complex concepts in a clear and relatable way to any audience. You are dynamic, charismatic, trustworthy, and value lasting relationships.

CORE FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITES

NIL Engagement and Education Leadership

  • Elite ability to lead and facilitate NIL education sessions (in-person and virtual) with athletes, coaches, support staff, professors, and administrators
  • Support the creation and evolution of an engaging NIL education curriculum
  • Use data, best practices, and first-hand experience to ensure Opendorse’s educational content remains fresh and unrivaled
  • Engage with Opendorse partners to manage their account and progression through the education components
  • Write educational articles, blog posts, and create other resources to help users and partners stay up to date on NIL trends and best practices
  • Form relationships with athletes across the country and serve as a resource to ensure their success in NIL
  • Forge and maintain relationships with prominent athletes, agents, and collectives, supporting back-end management to ensure they maximize the Opendorse platform
  • Maintain deep knowledge of Opendorse products, and communicate value proposition to all users
  • Serve as a thought-leader in the athlete personal branding and NIL space, representing Opendorse to existing and potential partners with your strong personal brand

Success Management

  • Serve as the primary contact and encyclopedia for all things related to your designated partners
  • Ensure success against key measurables (partner ROI, retention, product usage, quality touch points, and more)
  • Lead new partner onboarding and training
  • Lead recurring Strategy Sessions on NIL and branding
  • Support product troubleshooting and best practices
  • Gather user feedback and relay to product development team
  • Stay up-to-date on laws and policies in the everchanging NIL landscape
  • Provide your partners with actionable, relevant, data-driven guidance and best practices
  • Ideate unique concepts to share with partners
  • Work closely with the Opendorse Sales Team to support new business, retention, and contract growth efforts
  • Assist Sales Team to achieve quarterly and annual sales goals and objectives

WHAT WILL SET YOU APART

  • 4+ years of experience in athletic administration, athlete relations, college recruiting, marketing, education, or a related field
  • Proven collaborator who can connect across multiple functions and geographies
  • Being a former high-level athlete
  • Dynamic presence with an eagerness to engage with different stakeholders
  • High-energy with hustle, motivation, and drive that’s contagious
  • Outstanding public speaking and presentation skills
  • Excellent writing and editing skills, plus attention to detail
  • Willingness and excitement to travel extensively, up to 50%
